As someone who has done quite a bit of inner child healing and supported others on their journey to inner child healing, one thing I have been reminded is that on the other side of that inner child is an adult that has built their life through the lens of that inner child's needs.
This means that as you heal, those relationships, coping skills, habits, loves, hates….those things might start feeling like strangers or like someone you knew from somewhere but couldn't recall. They will just stop fitting like they used to…this is a part of the process of aligning your inner child's needs with the life you are created to live today. You will be okay, just know that pruning is a part of the process.
With love and so much brown heart,
Samantha
